Who Are We

SSBBank, Stockbridge, Michigan is a community bank with four offices in Ingham, Eaton and Livingston counties. The main office is equidistant from Lansing and Jackson on the west and Ann Arbor and Brighton on the east. The bank has been in operation in Stockbridge since 1908 and in 1964 expanded with a branch in the west edge of Livingston county in Gregory. In 1991, the Eaton Rapids office in Eaton county was opened at a distance of thirty miles from the main office. The latest addition is our Holt/South Lansing office, opened in November 2004 at a distance of 27 miles from the main office.

By its locations and rural nature, the bank has always been community oriented and has demonstrated this by investing in the local farms, businesses and citizens within an area that it could adequately serve. It is our philosophy that the goal of the SSBBank is the ultimate development of the opportunity to serve our community and that all who come in contact with us should be able to benefit from that contact. Meeting the deposit and credit needs of our communities shall be our primary purpose for existence.

Mission Statement

It shall be the mission of the Bank to maintain its local ownership and control while managing its assets and liabilities in a prudent manner, with integrity, so as to present a strong institution dedicated to providing and promoting needed financial services to all economic sectors of our communities. We shall seek ways to grow the bank in a careful and financially sound manner. We shall also strive to earn reasonable returns in the form of share value for the stockholders and develop meaningful careers and a challenging and rewarding work environment for our associates.
